1. Mask Those Tresses!
As a blonde, there is a fine line between bombshell strands and hair that looks like straw . . . it's not always a picnic. But, even if you're not a blonde and experience dry hair (especially during the winter months), a hair mask is a great way to revive your strands and make them look like you just left the salon. My personal favorite is the Wella Invigo Brilliance Hair Mask For Normal Hair because of how it enhances my color without weighing it down! I leave this on while I shave my legs and prep the rest of my body for my next self care tip: self tanning!!
2. Bahama Mamma 🌴
Ive had my share of problems with self tanner, trust me. Between orange knuckles and elbows, I have been so turned off to self tanning products, until I came across the Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Dry Oil. This product has been a game changer for the sole fact that it is fool proof! The first step of ensuring an even tan is to exfoliate. I know we've heard it all before, but it truly is necessary. I love to lather myself with my favorite body wash, which is the Olay Fresh Outlast Body Wash in Cooling White Strawberry and Mint and use exfoliating gloves to smooth over all those problem areas such as the feet, hands, knees, elbows, and ankles. Also, don't forget to shave!
Side Note: Who also feels like a baby beluga after they freshly shave their legs?? BEST. FEELING. EVER.
Once I am out of the shower and completely dry, I add a body butter to those problem areas to make sure that my tanner doesn't become darker in those spots. Then, I remove all of my jewelry and apply the tanner with a tanning mit. This tanner dries so fast and does not need to be washed off! It gradually becomes darker throughout the day and will leave you with a natural bronze glow!
3. Highlight Your High Points!
Who said highlighter is just for the face? I for one use that shit everywhere I can . . . no joke. When it comes to my makeup, I always make sure to highlight my cheek bones, nose, upper lip and chin. But, when it comes to body glow... girl it is a WHOLE other level. If I am wearing an off the shoulder top, I love to highlight my collar bones. This is a great way to bring more attention to to your décolletage. Another great use for highlighter is to brush it over your knees if you are wearing a short dress. This will give the illusion of glistening, healthy looking legs! 4. Ditch The Black Eyeliner
If you're looking for a wider eye look and want to make your eyes POP, opt for white eyeliner. This will make your eyes appear bigger! Pair it with some mascara and you're good to go! I love this tip because I always used to use black eyeliner, which made my eyes look non-existent due to how small they are. After I threw away my black eyeliner and started using the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, I never looked back.
5. Baby Soft Skin Instantly!
My skincare journey was pretty rough through 2020 (as if the year wasn't hard enough as it was), but it was all because I was using the wrong products.
